- Work from any NZNO office nationally - Represent more than 60,000 nurses, midwives, students, kaimahi hauora, and health workers in Aotearoa/ New Zealand - Affiliated to the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions (NZCTU) - Embrace Te Tiriti o Waitangi - Permanent, full-time role

Job requirements:

- Knowledge and experience in collective agreement and pay equity matters - Strategic bargaining knowledge - Legal and/or human resources management skills - Bargaining or negotiating experience - Strong written and oral communication skills - Strategic analysis and planning skills - Ability to work in a Tiriti o Waitangi-based organization - Understanding of organizing unionism

Job responsibilities:

- Work with staff project teams and member negotiating teams - Negotiation of successful outcomes for members - Provide oversight and implementation of negotiation outcomes - Engage with members in the development and negotiation of claims - Contribute to the unions campaign plans - Support NZNO's membership groups - Contribute to the unions strategies to organize members

Qualifications:

- Relevant experience in negotiation and advocacy - Strong knowledge of industrial relations

- Strong written and communication skills - Effective time management - Leadership capacity building skills
