Job requirements
- Five plus years' experience working with Māori peoples in a teaching or support role - A qualification in reo, mātauranga and/or tikanga Māori at level 5 or above - Well-developed relationships with Māori communities and organizations - Knowledge of Adult Education training and development methodologies - Sound knowledge of Tikanga Māori, Matauranga Māori, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Job responsibilities
- Connect with iwi, hapū, and Māori communities to drive growth and support Māori learner success - Work directly with apprentices and ākonga, as well as their employers, to cultivate supportive training environments - Shape processes, communications, and reporting systems in alignment with Māori strategic goals - Engage with Māori learners in a culturally respectful manner - Elevate cultural understanding within the team and develop resources that celebrate inclusivity and Te Reo
Qualifications
- A qualification in reo, mātauranga and/or tikanga Māori at level 5 or above
Skills
- Strong relationships with Māori communities and organizations - Knowledge of Adult Education training methodologies - Understanding of Tikanga Māori, Matauranga Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
