About the Role

As an Advisor Risk Reduction, you will be responsible for delivering, supporting, and advising on risk reduction functions and activities across built and natural environments. Your role will involve using data and intelligence to monitor and review risk reduction delivery, compliance activity, and taking necessary remedial actions. Additionally, you will collaborate with Māori as tangata whenua and work closely with group managers and brigades to enhance their understanding of emergency management.

Your Responsibilities

- Interpret and apply relevant legislation and compliance requirements - Build relationships with Iwi and Māori communities - Deliver technical programmes aligned with national initiatives - Provide expertise on risk management in various fire types - Work on compliance and enforcement functions - Be part of an on-call roster and occasional weekend work

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you should have: - Experience in risk reduction, compliance, or stakeholder management - Ability to communicate complex information effectively - Proficiency in MS Office applications - A current clean driver’s license - Understanding of legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements
