Assistant Accountant Position in Manukau

Our client is seeking a dynamic and well-organized Assistant Accountant to join their team in Manukau. This is a temporary contract role with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cashbook and reconcile daily cash transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable cycles.
  • Manage accounts receivable and credit collection.
  • Resolve customer queries, claims, credit balances, and clearing accounts.
  • Monitor daily cash flows, income, and expenses against budget.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with a contemporary ERP system.
  • Experience in cash handling procedures, cash management, and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with Tier 2 financial reporting and inter-entity accounting.
  • Knowledge of GST and other tax obligations.
  • Ability to prepare trial balance information and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
