Assistant Accountant Position in Manukau
Our client is seeking a dynamic and well-organized Assistant Accountant to join their team in Manukau. This is a temporary contract role with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cashbook and reconcile daily cash transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable cycles.
- Manage accounts receivable and credit collection.
- Resolve customer queries, claims, credit balances, and clearing accounts.
- Monitor daily cash flows, income, and expenses against budget.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with a contemporary ERP system.
- Experience in cash handling procedures, cash management, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with Tier 2 financial reporting and inter-entity accounting.
- Knowledge of GST and other tax obligations.
- Ability to prepare trial balance information and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
