About the Position

Position: Part-Time Medical Research Trial Manager

Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Duration: Fixed-term for 18 months

The University of Auckland is offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join their Obstetrics & Gynaecology / School of Medicine team as a Medical Research Trial Manager. The role involves coordinating a research study focused on early medical abortions to assess follow-up protocols' effectiveness, safety, and acceptability. This part-time position requires someone with experience in managing clinical research projects, familiarity with Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Manage clinical research projects in clinical settings
• Understand the Treaty of Waitangi implications in nursing and research
• Demonstrate knowledge of Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines
• Utilize basic computer skills for research coordination
• Extract and interpret clinical information from hospital records
• Communicate effectively and pay attention to detail
• Take initiative and have data administration experience
