Customs Broker Full-time Job

Overview

A leading global freight forwarder in New Zealand is looking for an experienced Customs Broker to ensure the smooth and compliant flow of international trade. This role is crucial in managing customs clearance for import and export cargo.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage customs clearance of import and export cargo
• Represent importers/exporters for goods clearance
• Review and process import/export documentation
• Classify goods using the international tariff-coding system
• Coordinate with the operations team for cargo documentation
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand customs regulations
• Liaise with MPI when required

Required Skills

• NZ Customs Pin is a must
• Experience with CargoWise preferred
• Exposure to clearing diverse commodities like DG, perishables, and general goods
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and clearances
• Adaptability to changing regulations and procedures
• Integrity in maintaining compliance standards
• Efficient time management to avoid additional charges
