Introduction:

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will participate in application development, implementation, and Business-As-Usual (BAU) handover tasks. You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle to ensure best practices are followed and sustainable solutions are delivered. Agile methodologies will play a crucial role in your day-to-day activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and possess previous work experience in a development role. Strong familiarity with various aspects of the software development lifecycle is essential. Personal maturity and alignment with values such as Generosity, Curiosity, and Empowerment are highly valued.

Skills:

The role requires technical expertise in development using Node.js, TypeScript, REST API, Backend integrations, Kafka-based messaging systems, AWS development, and test-driven development. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM integration is preferable. The ability to learn new languages and skills, along with technical troubleshooting, customer needs identification, and analytical skills are key requirements.

About the Team:

You will be part of the Digital Development Kaitiaki team, consisting of over 25 developers responsible for managing one of New Zealand's largest IT estates. Working in Agile teams, you will contribute to the delivery of high-performance solutions for the University.
