Job Overview

The selected candidate will have the chance to work with industry leaders on a wide range of employment and health & safety issues. From advising clients on employee rights to representing them in various legal proceedings, you will be an integral part of a well-resourced team known for its practical approach and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Handling employment relationship problems, personal grievances, and disputes
• Providing advice on redundancy, disciplinary processes, and performance management
• Assisting the Corporate department with employment due diligence for commercial transactions
• Representing clients in mediation, the Employment Relations Authority, and the Employment Court

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in NZ employment law
• Strong understanding of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Health & Safety experience preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
