About the Role

The company is currently seeking an Internal Control, Tax, and Governance Specialist to join their finance team at the Auckland HQ in East Tamaki. This full-time permanent position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic global FMCG environment that specializes in producing delicious coffee and tea. The role involves managing internal control processes, overseeing tax matters, and ensuring financial compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to global internal control standards
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and compliance obligations
  • Managing the external audit process
  • Handling tax matters, including income tax return
  • Maintaining segregation of duties
  • Serving as the technical accounting expert

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following:

  • Degree in Accounting or Commerce
  • CPA/CA qualification (desirable)
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Prior audit experience, preferably in a CA firm
  • Knowledge of global multinational operations (advantageous)
  • Experience collaborating with non-finance teams
  • Proficiency in finance systems like SAP and Microsoft Excel
