12-Month Grant Proposal Writing Mentor Volunteer Opportunity in Samoa

About Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG)

SVSG is a proactive non-governmental organization established in Samoa in 2005. It provides support and counseling to victims of sexual crimes and abuse. Over the years, SVSG has expanded its services and gained the trust of the community through dedication and hard work.

The Assignment

In this 12-month assignment, a VSA Volunteer will work with the SVSG Communications Division to research and explore financial pathways for grant proposals. Your role will be crucial in supporting SVSG's vision of caring for children, supporting victims, and uplifting the vulnerable in Samoa.

Volunteer Requirements

We are looking for a volunteer with the following qualifications and skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in grant/proposal writing and fundraising
• Knowledge of grant proposal application processes in the international development environment
• Strong editing and persuasive writing skills
• Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural teams
• Desirable: Work experience in international development, project management skills
