Helpline Responder Full-time Job

Key points

Job responsibilities

- Respond to direct contacts from service users, particularly during peak times - Provide support and guidance to Helpline Volunteers - Manage the Helpline queue and deliver frontline services following established guidelines - Conduct risk assessments and follow clinical best practices - Participate in regular team meetings and supervision

Qualifications

- Passion for supporting young people and their families/whānau - Experience in mental health or telehealth settings preferred - Ability to work collaboratively within a team - Flexibility to work on a rotating roster

Skills

- Strong communication skills - Excellent computer literacy skills - Empathy, resilience, and commitment to providing person-centered support - Ability to learn new programs quickly - Experience using Microsoft Teams is preferred
