The Role of a Medical Secretary/PA

The practice is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Secretary/PA to join their team as a key player in ensuring the practice continues to excel. The role involves a variety of tasks including patient interaction, clinic management, surgery scheduling, file organization, and coordination with various healthcare professionals and institutions. The ideal candidate should be professional, proactive, efficient, and possess excellent communication skills.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role with knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes
• High attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
• Reliable, flexible, and hard-working
• Proficient in computer skills and experience with Practice Management Systems
• Familiarity with medical appointment scheduling and operating lists
• Experience with patient and hospital billing processes
• Knowledge of ACC and insurance claim procedures
• Previous medical dictation experience
• Sense of humor and ability to work well in a team
