Join Our Team as a Pavement Survey Operator

About Us

GeoSolve Ltd is a leading civil engineering group in New Zealand, specializing in pavements, geotechnics, and water infrastructure. Our Pavements division is the largest pavement survey group in the country, working on projects for NZTA, local government highways, airports, and ports. As we continue to expand our survey team, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join us as a Pavement Survey Operator.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Pavement Survey Operator, you will be trained to use a variety of vehicle-based survey equipment, including the High-Speed Data (HSD) collection vehicle, Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), and Multi Speed Deflectometer (MSD). You will be expected to travel throughout the country for various projects, work remotely at times, and effectively communicate with colleagues, contractors, and on-site traffic management. The role may require night shifts for FWD surveys and working away from home for 2-3 weeks at a time.

Skills and Experience Required

To excel in this role, applicants should possess: - A full and clean NZ Class 1 driving license - Mechanical, electronic, and technical aptitude - Computer competency (Word and Excel) - Strong attention to detail - Self-motivation and problem-solving skills - Ability to work nights and weekends as needed - Good attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player mentality

Desired Attributes

While not essential, the following attributes would be beneficial: - HT class 4 license for operating other GeoSolve survey trucks - Previous experience in the pavement industry - Equipment servicing and maintenance experience - Secure parking and storage for a vehicle and trailer
