Join Our Finance Team as a Payroll Specialist

Overview

Are you a skilled Payroll Specialist with experience in accounting duties? Our client, a service provider on the North Shore, is looking for someone like you to join their friendly and collaborative finance team. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager and offers on-site parking for convenience.

Responsibilities

  • Load, update, and maintain employee information in the payroll system
  • Maintain, load, and calculate payroll data for wage and salary employees
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll-related tax obligations, including PAYE and KiwiSaver
  • Handle payroll queries and provide support to employees
  • Reconcile payroll headcount and assist in reporting
  • Process journals and perform bank reconciliations
  • Support in month-end and year-end activities
  • Assist in budget preparation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
  • Experience in an Assistant Accountant role is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
