About the Role

This role focuses on supporting our client's transition from SAP to Workday, with a particular emphasis on implementing a new payroll system. The key responsibilities involve ensuring accurate management and administration of leave policies and payroll in adherence to New Zealand payroll laws and regulations. The position requires expertise in leave policies, entitlement calculations, system administration, and training to facilitate a smooth transition to the new payroll system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing knowledge of New Zealand payroll laws and regulations to guide the implementation of leave policies within the new payroll system.
  • Understanding and applying leave policies and regulations to accurately calculate leave accruals and entitlements for employees.
  • Leading the design of leave business rules in the new payroll system using accurate leave data, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Leading the configuration of employee self-service functionalities and leave approval workflows.
  • Providing support and training to managers and employees on using the new payroll system for leave management purposes.

About You

We are looking for a seasoned Payroll Implementation Specialist with expertise in Workday and New Zealand payroll laws. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in payroll system implementation, particularly with Workday. Additionally, they should possess a strong ability to interpret and apply complex leave policies and regulations effectively. Proficiency in configuring employee self-service functionalities, leave approval workflows, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical skills are essential for this role.
