The company stores and distributes transport fuels safely and efficiently to the Northland and Auckland markets. With up to 280 million liters of fuel stored at the Marsden Point site, Channel Infrastructure operates a 170-kilometer pipeline delivering fuel directly to Auckland.

Job Overview: Pipeline Engineer

Channel Terminal Services (CTS) Ruakaka to Auckland Pipeline (RAP) Team is currently seeking a proactive and motivated Pipeline Engineer to join their team. This role involves the daily management of pipeline safety and integrity, including inspections, compliance audits, and emergency exercises as per the CTS Pipeline Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, and civil tasks related to the pipeline
  • Supervise pipeline projects and maintenance activities
  • Investigate issues, trips, and incidents
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness planning and exercises
  • Participate in compliance audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or suitable Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in petrochemical, energy, or oil and gas pipelines
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (advantageous)
