Job Description
Manurewa Marae is currently seeking a full-time Practice Nurse to join their team. This role involves championing whānau needs and providing timely clinical and culturally appropriate health services. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Primary Care, and possess a current NZ Practising Certificate with the Nursing Council of NZ. Knowledge of primary health care clinical programs, experience working with Māori and Pasifika communities, and proficiency in Te Reo Māori and Tikanga Māori are also essential for this role.
Requirements and Responsibilities
The successful candidate should be an authorised vaccinator, cervical smear taker, and HPV certified. Experience in phlebotomy and chronic condition management is advantageous. Additionally, candidates interested in a clinical pathway towards community prescribing, designated prescribing, or Nurse Practitioner roles are encouraged to apply. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a full NZ driver’s license are also required.
