Job Description: Principal Legal Counsel - ER
Overview
Join us for a 12-month fixed term contract as a Principal Legal Counsel focusing on Employment Relations (ER). This position based in Auckland CBD requires a legal professional with extensive experience in ER and IR.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal and strategic advice
- Assess and manage legal risks related to ER matters
- Support the ER team
- Mentor and coach the broader People & Culture team
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders
- Drive process efficiencies
- Support various projects
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand employment law
- LLB qualification and a current practicing certificate
- Senior legal expertise in private legal practice or in-house role
- Strong expertise in employment law and industrial relations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills
