About the Role

AUT's School of Science is currently seeking an innovative and experienced professional to join as the Deputy Head of School. In this role, you will be responsible for providing academic leadership, managing staff, and contributing to the strategic development of the school. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in research and teaching, as well as experience in staff management and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of School in providing leadership and operational management
• Provide research and teaching leadership
• Develop and implement strategic goals for the school
• Revitalize postgraduate programs and enhance research profile
• Foster excellence in teaching, scholarship, and collaboration

2. Demonstrated strategic academic experience
3. Distinguished academic achievements
4. Disciplinary expertise within the School of Science
5. Direct staff management experience

Additional Information

Start Date: Late-2024/Early-2025

Term: Permanent academic appointment as a Professor with a 0.5 capacity as the Deputy Head of School

Salary: Commensurate with experience (Professor range: NZD $156,354 - $201,425)
