Quality Control Technician Full-time Job

Permanent position : 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)Immediate start OTOKi NEW ZEALAND (OTTOGI) is proud to be one of Auckland's most trusted companies in the FOOD industry. Its nimble, adventurous, and new opportunities are ahead of us.We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Technician who has a Food industry (Manufacturer/Importer/Exporter) experience and is genuinely after an opportunity to make their mark and build on their career. Our door is also open to beginners who are passionate about building a career in the food sector. (Entry Level).

Job requirements:

- You might have a degree in, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or similar. - Have high levels of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and autonomy. - Have strong interpersonal leadership skills to influence, develop, and grow relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and team members. - Possess well-developed oral & written communication skills. - Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. - Have competent computer skills.

Job responsibilities:

- First point of call for any quality or faulty stock issues (Raw materials and finished products). - Conduct various analysis tasks (chemical analysis and microbiological test) on foods. - Laboratory Skill: Knowledge of microbiological and chemical testing in a food processing environment. - Management of Laboratory Equipment and Reagents (House Keeping). - Hygiene test in food production sites (inc. Swabbing and Air-borne bacteria test). - Excellent data analysis & report writing skills with Microsoft office and Otoki Own system. - Familiar with Food Safety Programme in accordance with applicable Animal Product Act/Regulations. - Internal verification audits in Food Safety and Health & Safety in workplaces. - Liaise with production to alter and improve processes, as and when required. - Ensure that production staff operate within QA and FS guidelines and monitor daily performance. - Newbies who want to take on a new challenge in the food industry are also welcome.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred. - Experience in the Food industry (Manufacturer/Importer/Exporter) is a plus.
