Retail Area Manager Full-time Job

About the Role

If you have a passion for working with people and a keen eye for great design and home interiors, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our A&C Team as a Retail Area Manager. A&C Homestore is a local brand that focuses on bringing joy through great design and beautiful products.

Responsibilities

As the Area Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our 3 Auckland stores and Christchurch based store. Your duties will include hiring, training, and managing retail managers and teams to ensure efficient operations. You will also focus on fostering a positive team culture and delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication abilities are essential, as you will be the primary point of contact for retail staff needing operational support. Additionally, a background in retail store operations, visual merchandising, and inventory management is required. Being reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious is also important.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in homeware or retail. A self-motivated and results-driven mindset, along with a passion for team growth and development, are key attributes. Proficiency in tools like Cin7, Shopify, and Microsoft is preferred but not mandatory.

Location and Schedule

The role is based in both our Auckland Head Office in Birkenhead and our store locations, including Christchurch every 4-6 weeks. The work hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with full training provided.
