About the Role

Contribute to the safety and security of New Zealand's skies by joining the Aviation Security Service (AvSec) at their Auckland Airport location. AvSec is the government provider of aviation security in New Zealand, ensuring premier aviation security while maintaining a high-quality passenger experience. As part of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), AvSec is dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence. This position is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave within the National Rostering Centre (NRC).

The Scheduler role involves producing rosters for Aviation Security Officers across New Zealand using the Quintiq rostering system. Responsibilities include short-term planning for all six major airports, managing shifts, training, leave applications, and operational changes. This position operates on a 24/7 shift cycle, requiring flexibility and proactive problem-solving skills. The role is based at the Aintree Avenue site with some remote work included.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you should have experience in rostering, scheduling, or planning within a dynamic 24/7 environment. Strong communication skills are essential for building relationships and providing valuable advice to support the operation. A full NZ driver's license is a requirement for this position.
