Job requirements:
- Tertiary Civil or Structural Engineering qualification - CPEng Structural registration with Engineering NZ (Preferred) - 5+ years design-based consulting or client-side NZ engineering experience (Essential) - Experience managing structural or related infrastructure assets in NZ within Telecommunications, Power, Energy, or a related industry - Commercially astute with a track record of achieving operational and capital expenditure targets - Experience promoting a zero harm environment and ensuring industry best practice Health and Safety compliance - Ability to work autonomously, be reliable, and take ownership of project deliverables - Unrestricted work rights and a current NZ Driver's License
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the current and future network of structural telecommunications and related infrastructure assets - Coordinate with a team of Facilities, Property, and Engineering professionals - Manage continuous improvement and efficiency programs - Build a capital program in line with planned expansion to the existing network - Implement, develop, and maintain quality systems for infrastructure resilience - Collaborate with internal departments on maintenance and testing programs
Qualifications:
- CPEng Structural Engineer registration with Engineering NZ - Current or recent experience working within the AS/NZ market to applicable industry codes and standards - Understanding of construction contracts such as NZS 3910 or similar - Good understanding of the full project life cycle
Skills:
- Project management and coordination expertise - Asset management and risk management processes - Experience with continuous improvement, lean processes, or related methodologies - Health and safety compliance - Commercial acumen
