Our mission is to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of Pacific peoples in Aotearoa by providing mental health, disability, older peoples, social services, and financial capability services.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our team and provide support to our service users. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Pacific people and work with communities to uplift service users for independent living with positive outcomes. This role involves working with the Social Work Team leader and a pool of Social Workers across the Auckland region.

Responsibilities:

  • Using culturally appropriate protocols to support Pacific service users.
  • Providing advice and insights to the team.
  • Championing local clinical governance mechanisms.
  • Taking a lead on high-needs or complex cases.

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Pacific culture.
  • Tertiary qualification in social work.
  • Professional certification and registration.
  • Knowledge of social services and social work issues.
  • Strong communication skills in English and one or more Pacific languages.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • Clean, full NZ Driver License.
  • Clean police record.
