Join our transdisciplinary team in Canterbury on a part-time basis for 12 months covering parental leave starting from 31 July 2024. About the Role

As a Speech Language Therapist with us, you will play a crucial role in our Learning Support team by working closely with children, parents, caregivers, teachers, and specialists to support the development of speech, language, and communication skills. You will also collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to address complex needs and deliver high-quality learning support in line with our guiding principles and curricula.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech-Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification recognized by the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapists Association. You should have in-depth knowledge of speech-language theory, child development, and the ability to apply professional knowledge effectively. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to cultural competency are also essential.
