Job Opportunity: Truss Supervisor at a Busy Factory in Pukekohe
Overview
A thriving factory in Pukekohe, with nearly 20 years of experience in providing quality timber frames for new builds across New Zealand, is looking to expand its team. The role of Truss Supervisor involves overseeing a team of 15 individuals, guiding them in fabricating trusses, and ensuring daily production needs are met while prioritizing Health & Safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and developing good relationships with a team of 15
- Leading the team in fabricating trusses
- Reading plans and guiding the team to meet production goals
- Focusing on Health & Safety in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- No prior experience in Frame & Truss required, but beneficial
- Ability to read plans and lead a team
- Physical fitness and awareness of health and safety
- Positive attitude, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Willingness to work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly rate: $30 - $32 (based on experience)
- Time & a half after 45 hours
- Potential fuel allowance for those living outside Pukekohe
