About the Role
The Vulnerability Management Engineer position requires expertise in vulnerability assessment, response, and remediation. Responsibilities include conducting scans, developing automation scripts, preparing reports, presenting findings to clients, and collaborating on security strategies. The role demands knowledge of security protocols, automation scripting, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular vulnerability scans for clients
- Develop and execute automation scripts for remediation
- Prepare detailed reports on security vulnerabilities
- Present findings and recommendations to clients
- Collaborate with clients on mitigation strategies
- Stay updated on latest vulnerabilities and security trends
- Assist with configuration and deployment of assessment tools
Requirements
- 3-5 years of systems or infrastructure engineering experience
- Proficiency in automation scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and network administration
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable or Qualys
- Excellent communication skills and customer-centric approach
- Interest in cyber security and emerging threats
