Job Summary

The position of Casual Accounting Trainer at Rivers Academic Group involves delivering engaging and informative training sessions to aspiring accountants. The ideal candidate should possess a strong accounting background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs in accounting, covering bookkeeping, financial accounting, taxation, and business services.
  • Create engaging and easy-to-understand training materials and resources.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to students to help them grasp complex accounting concepts.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in the accounting field for relevant training content.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback for skill improvement.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and staff to enhance training programs continually.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA/CA qualification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public practice or a similar accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Previous training or teaching experience is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
