Job Description

The role involves working on a complex HR program for Te Whatu Ora, focusing on the Holidays Act Programme. The main objectives include rectifying payroll systems to comply with the Holidays Act, addressing underpayments for holiday pay, and ensuring ongoing compliance with the Holidays Act 2003.

Responsibilities

Analysts/testers will be involved in two main streams of work:

  • Remediation Stream: Analyzing payroll data, identifying anomalies, testing remediation calculations, and ensuring compliance with the Holidays Act.
  • Rectification Stream: Supporting changes to the payroll system configuration, testing compliance, and documenting process changes for future compliance.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills:

  • Testing/analytical ability with problem-solving skills
  • Experience in payroll processing, including knowledge of MECAs and IEAs
  • Familiarity with New Zealand employment legislation and the Holidays Act 2003
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large volumes of data
  • Experience with complex payroll systems like Leader, Datacom, Peoplesoft, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Access and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to customer service
