Job requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering
• Relevant civil engineering degree or relevant tertiary qualification
• CPEng (Chartered Professional Engineer) in New Zealand preferred
• Valid class 1 Full Driver’s license
• New Zealand citizen, resident, or legally allowed to work in New Zealand
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Job responsibilities

• Oversee engineering aspects of civil infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Senior Management
• Apply civil engineering expertise in drainage, earthworks, and road design
• Monitor project progress and document engineering data
• Manage engineering allocation and application of resources
• Maintain professional relationships with subcontractors, clients, and suppliers
• Uphold engineering safety standards and conduct risk assessments
• Support the development of team members’ technical skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering
• Relevant civil engineering degree or relevant tertiary qualification
• CPEng (Chartered Professional Engineer) in New Zealand preferred

Skills

• Strong ability to interpret construction plans
• Experience in working alongside Project Managers
• Expertise in drainage, concrete, and/or structural engineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Technical proficiency and problem-solving abilities
