Job Opportunity: Senior BAS Accountant at Established CA Firm in Central Auckland

Description

An established CA firm in Central Auckland is currently in ramp-up mode and seeking a Senior BAS Accountant to join their rapidly growing practice. The role will predominantly involve working on annual accounts, tax returns, and providing high-quality business advice to clients across various industries. As a senior member of the BAS team, you will collaborate closely with Principals and team members to manage client relationships, review work, and ensure timely completion of tasks within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow and ensure tasks are completed within budget
• Act as the key contact point for client management
• Review work of junior team members, both onshore and offshore
• Focus on technical compliance and value-added/advisory work

Requirements

• Prior experience in a New Zealand accounting firm at a reviewer/supervisory level
• Proficiency in Xero packages and add-ons
• Strong knowledge of NZ IRD tax requirements
• Stakeholder management skills
• Experience in engaging with outsourced providers (beneficial)
