Job Opportunity: Clinical Coder at Counties Manukau District

Counties Manukau District is seeking dedicated individuals to join their Clinical Coding team at Middlemore Hospital. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to quality healthcare services in a diverse community.

Position Details:

• Permanent full-time position
• 6-month fixed-term parental leave cover
• Casual role on-call basis

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assign accurate clinical codes using ICD-10-AM ACS/ACHI 11th and/or 12th edition
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of Casemix and diagnosis related groupers
• Collaborate effectively with the Clinical Coding team
• Ensure compliance with the National Clinical Coding Framework Progression Criteria

Requirements:

• HIMAA Certificate or ACE qualification
• Minimum 3 years of clinical coding experience
• Proficiency in ICD-10-AM 12th Edition coding
• Strong teamwork skills
