Job Opportunity: Communications Manager

Tennis New Zealand is currently looking for a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to join their close-knit team. The role involves managing external communications for the organization, ensuring alignment with its core values. Previous experience in a communications role is a must for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Create informative and engaging marketing materials and assets.
  • Develop effective communication and marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Plan and manage the creation of media releases.
  • Oversee Tennis New Zealand's communication channels, including the website, emails, and social media.
  • Supervise projects, media releases, and external communications to maintain quality standards.
  • Respond to communication-related issues as needed.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary degree in communications or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar communications role.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop (advantageous but not essential).
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to occasionally work weekends due to the nature of the role.
