About the Role

The Marketing and Communications Manager position at Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union is a 12-month fixed-term role covering maternity leave. The primary aim of this role is to oversee the Union's Marketing and Communications functions with a strong emphasis on marketing campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and management to raise awareness of the Union's activities and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive communications and messaging through various channels including online platforms and social media.
  • Create and develop content to enhance the online presence of the Union.
  • Manage the production of press releases, stakeholder communications, match previews, articles, and digital content.
  • Liaise with media and maintain relationships with them.
  • Implement plans to improve fan engagement and enhance the game day experience.
  • Develop and execute an annual marketing plan.
  • Oversee ticketing operations and work with ticketing partners for event sales.
  • Manage the Union's database and communication strategies with subscribers.
  • Assist in organizing events and support administrative tasks as needed.

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in Communications, PR, Media, or Marketing.
  • Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Ability to create and deliver digital content for social media.
  • Experience in stakeholder relationship management.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
