About the Role

This newly expanded role at Emerge Aotearoa Group offers a unique opportunity to provide crucial support to the organization's five boards and associated committees. As part of the Governance and Strategy Directorate, you will play a key role in establishing the organization's first in-house legal function. This role involves supporting the organization in its collaborations with the government and partner organizations to drive positive outcomes for disadvantaged communities. You will have the chance to enhance best practices in governance and legal processes while contributing to meaningful change.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have: - Experience in supporting governance processes, preferably using tools like Diligent or similar Board portals. - Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. - 5+ years of PQE with a broad legal knowledge base. - A current New Zealand practicing certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
