Location and Work Environment

We are conveniently located near Britomart in Central Auckland, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our team. This role provides flexible hybrid work opportunities, combining office-based work with the convenience of working remotely. The position is full-time and on a fixed-term contract for 6 months.

About Us

The Health and Disability Commissioner (HDC) is dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of health and disability services consumers. Our goal is to facilitate the fair and efficient resolution of complaints related to the infringement of these rights.

Role Overview

As a Complaints Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the Complaints Assessment Team at our Auckland office. This position offers a diverse range of tasks in a supportive work environment, allowing you to contribute to the resolution of complaints effectively.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven organisational skills to manage a high caseload efficiently
  • Proficiency in using information technology and office software
  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information

  • Understanding of the health and disability sector
  • Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural competence
