Roles Overview:

NZ Post is looking for individuals to join their Operational Excellence function within the Customer Service Delivery operation. These roles are focused on collaborating with the business to define future-state products and standards that will enhance the efficiency of the courier network. From guiding performance management to utilizing data for network optimization, these roles offer a chance to lead and make a difference.

About You:

The ideal candidate for these roles will be an expert in continuous improvement methodologies with a track record of successful implementation. Strong problem-solving skills, data analysis capabilities, and interpersonal communication are key attributes for these positions. Additionally, engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and driving operational and process improvements will be essential responsibilities.

Specific Requirements:

  • Operational Excellence Specialist:
    • Advanced level Continuous Improvement qualification like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
    • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring personnel in CI methodologies.
    • Experience in design and implementation of performance management tools.
    • Strong problem-solving and data analysis capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement Manager - Item Identification & Product Standards:
    • Continuous Improvement qualification or similar.
    • Proven people leadership skills and Change Management Certification.
    • Experience in project or program management in a logistics environment.
    • Understanding of automation technologies and data analysis for logistics networks.
  • Continuous Improvement Manager - Cost Management:
    • Continuous Improvement qualification or similar.
    • Change Management Certification and commercial project management experience.
    • Operational cost management models and financial modeling expertise.
    • Strong stakeholder management capability and commercial acumen.
