Who We Are

Auckland Prison, located in Paremoremo on Auckland's North Shore, is the only maximum-security prison in New Zealand. We provide rehabilitative and reintegrative programs to support individuals in reaching their full potential while maintaining staff safety as a top priority.

About the Role

As a Corrections Officer, you will work in a team-oriented environment, engaging positively with individuals in our care to facilitate positive change. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily routines, managing behavior and safety, and supporting the overall well-being of those under your care.

• Experience in a Kaupapa Māori or Pasifika environment (desirable)

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must have a current and full New Zealand driver's license, the legal right to work full-time in New Zealand, and be able to pass pre-employment checks including drug testing and criminal conviction checks.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a starting salary of $65,019 with opportunities for growth as you achieve National Qualifications Level 3 and Level 4. Additional benefits include night rates, annual shift allowance, fully paid training, and continuous development opportunities.
