Salary: $160,000 - $171,600 per annum

Job Description

The University of Auckland is seeking a Digital Development Manager to lead and manage the practice of Digital Development. Reporting to the Head of Product Engineering, this role involves implementing modern technologies, managing software development processes, recruiting and developing team members, and improving technical governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement modern tooling and technologies for secure and efficient delivery
  • Lead software development teams and promote autonomy
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members
  • Improve governance of technical debt, risk, and security vulnerabilities
  • Promote cross-functional practices and stakeholder management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience leading large development teams
  • Expertise in secure coding principles and technical direction setting
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills
  • Experience in strategic direction setting and execution
  • Preferably familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 6.0) and DevSecOps
