Job requirements:
- Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood)
- Post-graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching: Early Intervention or ability to attain within four years
- Minimum of three years teaching experience
- Deep knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior
- Understanding of a range of needs and disabilities
Job responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality learning support
- Building and strengthening the capability of parents, teachers, and families
- Collaboratively plan, support, and monitor intervention plans
- Support transition points in the child's learning pathway
- Work as part of a trans-disciplinary team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood)
- Post-graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching: Early Intervention or ability to attain within four years
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with learners, families, and teachers
- Understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga
- Full driver's license
