Early Intervention Teacher Full-time Job

Key points:

• Full-time, Fixed Term position till 30th June 2025
• Location: Botany Office, Auckland
• Salary range: $69,966 - $118,450 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver
• Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) required
• Post-graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching: Early Intervention or ability to attain within four years

Job requirements:

• Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood)
• Post-graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching: Early Intervention or ability to attain within four years
• Minimum of three years teaching experience
• Deep knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior
• Understanding of a range of needs and disabilities

Job responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality learning support
• Building and strengthening the capability of parents, teachers, and families
• Collaboratively plan, support, and monitor intervention plans
• Support transition points in the child's learning pathway
• Work as part of a trans-disciplinary team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood)
• Post-graduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching: Early Intervention or ability to attain within four years

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with learners, families, and teachers
• Understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangata whenuatanga
• Full driver's license
