Teacher Aide Full-time Job

Key points:

- Location: Ōrākei, Auckland - Sector: Teaching Aides & Special Needs (Education & Training) - Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Pay Rate: $28–$31 per hour

Job requirements:

- Experience working with children - Tech-savviness - Organisational and planning skills - Passion for supporting children with disabilities - Excellent communication skills - Resilience, patience, and problem-solving abilities - Commitment to stability for at least 10 months

Job responsibilities:

- Providing one-on-one support and working with small groups - Assisting with academic tasks and adapting to technology advancements - Adapting schoolwork based on teacher instructions - Supporting social interactions and facilitating friendships - Aiding mobility using equipment such as a hoist, walker, and standing frame - Anticipating and planning ahead to meet daily learning and care needs - Maintaining a calm, organized approach to prioritize goals and routines

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children in any capacity - Passion for supporting children with disabilities
