Job requirements:

  • A qualified and registered ECE teacher with a minimum Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification (or higher).
  • Proven leadership experience in an ECE setting.
  • Strong understanding of ECE regulations, curriculum frameworks, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with children and their families in a community-focused environment.
  • Experience in administration, budgeting, and staff supervision is an advantage.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the centre's daily operations, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support experienced teaching staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education.
  • Develop and implement educational programs that align with Te Whāriki such as learning stories etc.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, whanau, and the wider community.
  • Manage enrollments, and centre administration effectively.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and professional development within the team.

Qualifications:
