About the Role

As the Electrical Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design review, compliance, and regulatory aspects of large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Your role will involve designing PV and BESS systems for ground mount sites up to 700MW, conducting feasibility studies, site inspections, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing PV and BESS systems for renewable energy projects
• Providing technical support to project management and site teams
• Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies
• Mentoring junior engineers in solar and BESS design

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the solar industry
• CEC Accredited Designer for Solar and BESS
• Strong understanding of NZS/AS electrical and Solar PV installation standards
• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, PowerCad, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat
