Job requirements

• Previous experience estimating electrical projects
• Strong technical knowledge of NZ electrical standards & pricing
• EWRB registration preferred (but not essential)
• Proactive attitude and willingness to get hands-on
• Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

Job responsibilities

• Accurately estimate project costs for commercial and residential new builds
• Collaborate with project teams to analyze specifications and identify cost-effective solutions
• Improve estimating processes through best practices and innovation
• Provide technical guidance on cost-related matters throughout projects, including tendering and procurement
• Communicate cost estimates effectively to stakeholders and assist in decision-making
• Maintain close client relationships and provide support throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and take corrective actions as needed
