Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team in Central Auckland. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting finance projects, and ensuring compliance with audit and tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Review P&L for accuracy
• Maintain financial integrity in the general ledger
• Collaborate with the Head of Finance
• Analyze balance sheet for discrepancies
• Prepare consolidation entries for foreign subsidiaries
• Assist in audit and tax obligations
• Support various finance projects within the organization

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate for this role would possess:

• CA Qualified or equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, particularly in manufacturing or distribution
• Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations, tax returns, and audit processes
• Experience with ERP accounting systems; Netsuite experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of GST, tax obligations, and foreign exchange
• Advanced Excel skills
