Job Description: Fire Protection Equipment Technician
About the Company
Join a boutique business in the greater Auckland Region that specializes in providing exceptional fire protection services. As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Fire Protection Equipment Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain fire protection equipment such as fire hoses, extinguishers, and fire/smoke doors
- Conduct weekly diesel pump running
- Perform monthly fire alarm and fire sprinkler testing
- Conduct emergency lighting inspections
- Complete fire alarm annual surveys
- Attend daytime callouts
- Assist with fault finding
- Undertake small alterations and extensions (minor installs)
- Participate in after-hours call-out roster (1 week in 4)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the installation of fire protection equipment, emergency lighting, and electrical works. While a Level 4 qualification is preferred, it is not necessary.
