About the Role

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for maintenance machining for forestry, mining, and construction equipment. Your tasks will include programming and operating CNC and manual machining lathes and milling machines with expertise and finesse. You will execute machining operations to exact specifications, ensuring high-quality output. Precision fitting and turning tasks for heavy engineering components will also be part of your responsibilities. You should be able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints with precision and accuracy and collaborate closely with engineers and team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a programming machinist, preferably in heavy engineering environments such as forestry, construction, or mining.
• Proficiency in operating both CNC and manual machining lathes and milling machines.
• Experience with measuring equipment to micrometer accuracy.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
