GP Practice Nurse Position Full-time Job

About the Position

Auckland Family Medical Centre in Remuera is currently looking for a skilled Practice Nurse to join their team on a part-time basis. The clinic is known for its exceptional care in a boutique medical setting, offering personalized services to its patients. The position is for up to 16 hours on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the clinic open from 8 am to 5.30 pm on weekdays.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position should have a passion for practice nursing and previous experience in Primary Care. They should be compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing the best patient outcomes. Working closely with General Practitioners and the Practice Manager, the candidate will be responsible for a wide range of clinical duties.

What You Will Bring

Applicants should hold a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate and Vaccination Certificate. Experience in healthcare is crucial for tasks such as childhood immunizations, wound care management, chronic disease management, maintaining patient records, phone triage, and various procedures. Some of the responsibilities include prepping for minor surgical procedures, infection control, managing recalls and screening, and administering vaccinations.
