Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a client base of wahine, with referrals coming from the Police, Whanau, and self-referrals. Your day-to-day activities will include working with wahine in the community and in Safe Houses, addressing their immediate needs, and connecting them with external support services. You will collaborate with various agencies to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to case management, including triaging, interventions, assessments, and reviews.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should have a New Zealand Social Work qualification or a relevant degree, coupled with a strong background in domestic violence or whānau violence. Your ability to build relationships, network within the community, and communicate effectively both in writing and orally will be crucial. A warm and empathetic personality is essential to establish trust and rapport with the wahine you will be working with.
