Position Overview

A reputable business in Orewa is looking to fill a Financial Accountant role reporting directly to the CFO. This position entails managing financial and management accounting tasks for one of the company's entities. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic finance team and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports with detailed analysis and commentary
• Ensure compliance with annual reporting and tax requirements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
• Conduct financial analysis and contribute to ad-hoc projects
• Handle compliance and internal control tasks
• Provide mentorship and guidance to the Management Accountant

Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant tertiary degree and CA or CPA qualification
• Familiarity with New Zealand reporting and compliance standards
• Experience in the property industry is advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools
• Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
